RIO2C: Reiner Holzemer will attend the 1st Fashion System Summit in Rio de Janeiro

Filmmaker Reiner Holzemer will participate in a panel on anonymity in fashion at the Fashion System Summit, on May 27, at Cidade das Artes in Rio. His documentary MARTIN MARGIELA - IN HIS OWN WORDS will be screened the following day.

Reiner Holzemer is coming to Brazil for the 1st edition of the Summit Fashion System, part of the Rio2C 2025 program – one of the main creative events in Latin America. Renowned for his contemporary fashion documentaries, the German filmmaker discusses the power of anonymity in a world of hyperexposure. He is the author of the documentary MARTIN MARGIELA - IN HIS OWN WORDS, which gave him the opportunity to unravel the mysteries surrounding the fashion house’s creator.

In the talk, he will discuss Margiela’s choice to live a life of anonymity, a well-kept image and creative independence. The director will participate in a panel discussion with video interaction by educator Linda Loppa, from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. She sent previously unpublished video testimonies to the panel. The day after the talk, there will be a single screening for 70 guests at VillageMall, in Barra da Tijuca.
