Coming Soon: THE SIX – The new documentary about the Antwerp Six by Reiner Holzemer

A new documentary is in the making and will be released at fall in Belgium to start with. Other countries are to follow of course.

Forty years ago, six young fashion designers from Antwerp conquered the international catwalks and changed the fashion landscape forever. With their avant-garde designs, Walter Van Beirendonck, Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Bikkembergs, Dirk Van Saene and Marina Yee put Belgium on the international map of the fashion world.

They quickly became known as The Antwerp Six, a label that, despite their divergent visions, made them a mythical entity. But was that group identity real or mainly a construct of the outside world?

In THE SIX, they share their personal stories, their vision of fashion, the impact of their friendship and the lasting influence they left behind worldwide.
