The German Film Academy has appointed Reiner Holzemer, director and producer, as a new member. Holzemer is known for his documentaries, mainly artist portraits.
Reiner Holzemer's movie about fashion designer Martin Margiela, MARTIN MARGIELA - IN HIS OWN WORDS (2019) was chosen "Best Fashion Documentary of the Decade" by The Hollywood Reporter. His most recent film, the portrait of the exceptional actor Lars Eidinger, LARS EIDINGER - TO BE OR NOT TO BE, was awarded the Gilde Film Award as "Best Documentary 2023".
