FAZ & Achtung Mode: Reiner Holzemer Climbs in Ranking of Germany’s 50 Most Influential Figures in Fashion

FAZ Magazine and Achtung Mode have released the list of the 50 most influential Germans in fashion for 2026. Reiner Holzemer has risen in the rankings, moving from 15th to 11th place.

(15) REINER HOLZEMER Filmmaker "What began as a chance encounter with fashion as a subject has since become a defining focus of Holzemer’s career. Last March, he received his first retrospective at the Fashion Documentary Film Festival in Barcelona, where his work – including newer projects like Thom Browne and classics such as Dries and Martin Margiela: In His Own Words – was showcased. His next major project was already in the works: In October, Holzemer’s documentary on the legendary Antwerp Six will premiere. The current exhibition at MoMu in Antwerp vividly illustrates the profound impact these designers had on the fashion world. At the opening, only five of them could take the stage – Marina Yee had passed away the previous November. Yet Holzemer, uniquely, had already captured her insights on film."
